Cagrilintide Research Compound
Research Use Only
This product is intended for laboratory research purposes only. It is not intended for human or veterinary use, food, cosmetic, household, or agricultural applications. Not for human consumption.
Overview
Cagrilintide is a long-acting amylin analog developed for metabolic research. Amylin is a peptide hormone co-secreted with insulin from pancreatic beta cells that plays important roles in glucose homeostasis and satiety signaling. Cagrilintide is being studied in combination with semaglutide (CagriSema) for enhanced metabolic effects.
Mechanism of Action
Cagrilintide acts through amylin receptor activation:
- Delayed gastric emptying
- Glucagon suppression
- Central satiety signaling
- Complementary to GLP-1 pathway
Research Applications
- Amylin receptor pharmacology
- Combination studies with GLP-1 agonists
- Appetite regulation research
- Glucose homeostasis studies
