IGF-1 LR3 Research Compound
Research Use Only
This product is intended for laboratory research purposes only. It is not intended for human or veterinary use, food, cosmetic, household, or agricultural applications. Not for human consumption.
Overview
IGF-1 LR3 (Long R3 Insulin-like Growth Factor-1) is a modified form of IGF-1 consisting of 83 amino acids. The modification includes a 13 amino acid N-terminal extension and an arginine substitution at position 3, which significantly reduces binding to IGF binding proteins (IGFBPs) and extends the half-life.
Molecular Characteristics
| Property | Value |
|---|---|
| Amino Acids | 83 |
| Modification | N-terminal extension + Arg3 |
| Half-life | Extended vs. native IGF-1 |
| IGFBP Binding | Significantly reduced |
Mechanism of Action
IGF-1 LR3 acts through IGF-1 receptor activation:
- IGF-1R receptor binding
- PI3K/Akt pathway activation
- mTOR signaling cascade
- Reduced IGFBP sequestration
- Extended bioavailability
