Kisspeptin-10 Research Compound
Research Use Only
This product is intended for laboratory research purposes only. It is not intended for human or veterinary use, food, cosmetic, household, or agricultural applications. Not for human consumption.
Overview
Kisspeptin-10 is the bioactive C-terminal decapeptide fragment of the kisspeptin family, encoded by the KISS1 gene. Kisspeptins act through the KISS1R (GPR54) receptor on GnRH neurons and are considered the master regulators of the reproductive axis, controlling puberty onset and fertility.
Mechanism of Action
Kisspeptin-10 regulates reproduction through:
- KISS1R receptor activation
- Direct GnRH neuron stimulation
- LH and FSH release cascade
- Puberty timing control
- Ovulation trigger potential
Research Applications
- Reproductive neuroendocrinology
- Puberty mechanism studies
- Fertility research
- Hypothalamic kisspeptin neurons
- GnRH pulse generator studies
